Lightning, gusty winds, hail could accompany storms The chance of showers and thunderstorms hovers at 70%-80% through midweek, with beach conditions that include moderate risk of dangerous rip currents, according to the National Weather Service in Melbourne.

Air quality will be affected with hazy skies. With northerly winds persisting through Friday, more wildfire smoke is expected across the area at times. The air this week will have a very Spring-like feel as highs struggle to reach 70 degrees Thursday and Friday with overnight lows drop quickly into the 40s each night.
